The silver king is Captain Fred's specialty. From late spring to early fall, tarpon push along the beaches and through Ponce Inlet, and on a good day you will see them rolling before you cast. Expect long runs, jumps taller than the boat and a fish that can top 100 pounds.

Live bait (pogies, mullet, crabs) on heavy spinning tackle, drifting or sight-casting to rolling fish. Full-day trips give the most shots.
