Booking and deposit
A trip is confirmed when Captain Fred has agreed on a date by text, WhatsApp or email and the $150 deposit has been received by Venmo. The deposit is applied to the price of the trip.
Prices
Half day (4 hours): $450. Full day (6 hours): $600. Nearshore (6 hours): $800, fuel included. Bait is not included. Prices cover 1 to 2 anglers; each additional person, fishing or not, is $75, with a maximum of 4 people on board. Prices include the captain, boat, fuel, fishing license, rods, reels, tackle and ice. Bait is not included. Prices may change; the price confirmed by text at booking is the price you pay.
Payment
The balance is due on the day of the trip, by cash, check or Venmo. Gratuity is not included; 15 to 20% is customary.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before the trip and your deposit is transferred to a new date. Cancellations less than 48 hours before the trip, or no-shows, forfeit $100 of the deposit.
Weather
The captain decides whether conditions are safe, usually the evening before or early on the morning of the trip. If Captain Fred cancels for weather, you may reschedule or receive your deposit back in full. Rain alone does not cancel a trip.
No fish, no pay
On full-day trips, if no fish is caught by anyone on board during the trip, the trip is free and the deposit is returned. This guarantee applies to full-day trips only and requires that guests fish for the full duration of the trip.
Gift certificates
Gift certificates are redeemable for the trip indicated, for 1 to 2 anglers, subject to availability. They do not expire; the printed price is honored for 12 months from the date on the certificate, after which any difference with the current rate is due at booking. Deposit and cancellation terms apply once a date is booked.
Safety and conduct
The captain has final authority on board. Guests must follow safety instructions and Florida fishing regulations. Alcohol in moderation is allowed for guests of legal age; intoxicated guests may be returned to the dock without refund. Children must be supervised by an adult.
